The Ashes- Third Test

After a long ish break the action has resumed in third Ashes test at Manchester.

After two days, Aussies are looking good.

Their batting has come good in their first innings with the skipper Clarke playing the skipper’s knock and scoring 187. He was well supported by Rogers and Steve Smith who scored half centuries each. Late cameos by Haddin and Starc helped Aussies post a mammoth 527/7 dec

It is a flat pitch but the Aussie batsmen have shown the application and character which was lacking in the first two matches.

England in their first innings are 294/7 currently. Aussies will be hoping that their bowling will bowl the tail out quickly and they can win this match and make a comeback in the series.

It would be good to see the Aussies making a fist of this from a neutral point of view. There will also not be any lack of motivation and belief for the Aussies in Manchester. Old Trafford is the place of the famous club Manchester United whose motto is “We Believe” and who have overcome many adversities to become the top club. So Aussies can take inspiration from it and fight back.
